The SEF aims to improve publishing opportunities in experimental finance for regular papers and short papers, but also for registered reports, survey papers and papers which are more explorative in nature. The SEF therefore has entered into a long-term cooperation with the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance (JBEF), aiming to promote it as an outlet for experimental finance research. A number of SEF members also serve on the editorial board of the JBEF, including the two co-editors-in-chief, SEF President Elena Asparouhova and SEF Managing Director Stefan Palan.

The Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance's quality and impact are evidenced by some of its journal metrics:
